Two is better than one

In a recent argument with myself on how to make my blog more stimulating (as opposed to millions of shots of myself and regurgitated magazine spreads and look books), I’ve taken the route of not posting at all… Unfortunately, this hasn’t hit the excitement factor either.

Surprising, I know.

It kind of came to me the other night, sat next to a table of men in their 80′s playing scrabble at a small pub in Hackney, olives and G&T’s on the table between myself and my friend Lauren. As we indulged in an exchange of sexual stories and fashion banter, I felt more inspired than I had in weeks.

Lauren and I met at Burberry (she has recently moved on to a more fitting scene for her at Dazed and Confused) where we used to exchange bitchy stares across the room as I pointed out that I also owned just about every piece of clothing she had. We would generally fight over being the most noticed in the room, and truth be told, with her red lips, flowy blonde hair and ability to wear heels almost every day, she usually won this unspoken war we rivaled in.

Then she left.

Leaving me all the attention I needed and an open opportunity for us to now exchange real words (maybe even kind ones) as opposed to death stares… and so the bond began. A friendship that grew immensely in her last week and I hope to see grow very much more going forward.

In saying all this, I would like this post to officially introduce Lauren Ford as a partner unicorn. Together I hope that we will, entertain, inspire, educate and excite and most importantly, POST (as I’ve failed to do so recently,) if not that, at least annoy.

Dear Lauren, partner unicorn… welcome to fantasy land, where we will commence our journey in kicking some serious bum.
